Mediation

Mediation is the private and confidential use of mediators to resolve a conflict situation, including legal disputes.

Today, mediation has great potential for the development of disputes with authorities, commercial disputes, family disputes, labor disputes, etc. An example of this is the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 16 November 2008 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mediation", which defines the legal framework and procedure for mediation.

In accordance with Directive 2008/52/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on certain aspects of mediation in civil and commercial relations, ASTEELEX specialists can act as a third party who has been requested to conduct mediation effectively, impartially, and competently.

Our main rule in mediation is confidentiality: everything that happens in mediation is not disclosed to the mediator or the parties.

Advantages of mediation:

  • Save time
  • Reducing the cost of dispute resolution
  • Possibility to influence the outcome
  • Confidentiality of the process
  • Possibility of maintaining or restoring business relationships with partners
  • Ability to prevent similar conflicts in the future
